Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy describes how Nurture with Lydia uses cookies and similar technologies to provide, customise, evaluate, improve, promote and protect my Services. If you have any comments or questions about this Cookie Policy, feel free to contact hello@nurturewithlydia.com.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that is downloaded onto your computer when you visit a website. Cookies are used by many websites and can do a number of things, e.g. remembering your preferences, recording what you have put in your shopping basket, and counting the number of people looking at a website.

The information I obtain from my use of cookies will not usually contain your personal data. Although I may obtain information about your computer or other electronic device such as your IP address, your browser and/or other internet log information, this will not usually identify you personally. In certain circumstances I may collect personal information about you—but only where you voluntarily provide directly, for example if you fill out a contact form.

In most cases I will need your consent in order to use cookies on this website. The exception is where the cookie is essential in order for me to provide you with a service you have requested.

There is a notification displayed on my home page which describes how I use cookies and which also provides a link to my website privacy policy. If you use this website after this notification has been displayed to you, I will assume that you consent to my use of cookies for the purposes described in this website cookie policy as well as my website privacy policy.

If you do not want to accept cookies, you can change your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. If you do this, please be aware that you may lose some of the functionality of this website. For further information about cookies and how to disable them please go to the Information Commissioner’s web page on cookies: https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/

How I use cookies

I use cookies on the website for the following purposes:

  • Functional Cookies. These are Cookies that help me to remember choices you’ve made on the Services, such as your language preference.

  • Performance And Analytics. Cookies help me analyse how the Services are being accessed and used, and enable me to track performance of the Services. For example, I use cookies to determine if you viewed a page. This helps me provide you with information that you find interesting.

  • Google Analytics. I use Google analytics to help analyse how my services are being used to help me track performance and provide you with information that is relevant and interesting to you. You can find out more about how Google processes this data at their page: ”Find out how Google uses data when you use my partners' sites or app” . They have also created a tool that allows you to opt-out of Google Analytics, this can be found here. These third party services are entirely owned and operated by Google, and I have no access to or control over cookies that are used by third-parties.

  • Third Parties. Third Party Services may use cookies to help you sign into their services from my Services. Any such third party cookie usage is governed by the policy of the third party placing the cookie.

  • Opting Out. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services. I currently don’t respond to DNT:1 signals from browsers visiting my Services. You can also opt out of receiving interest-based ads from certain ad networks here (or if located in the European Union, here).

  • Device Identifiershttps://www.nurturewithlydia.com is hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace web and mobile applications use device identifiers to track, analyse and improve the performance of the Services and my ads.

  • Third Party Tags. https://www.nurturewithlydia.com is hosted on Squarespace, who use and manage third party tags on the website and associated domains of www.squarespace.com and on Squarespace web and mobile applications. Third party tags may take the form of pixels or tracking snippets. They use pixels to learn how you interact with my site pages and emails, and this information helps them and their ad partners provide you with a more tailored experience. They use tracking snippets to capture data from your browser, make requests to a third party partner or set cookies on your device to store data. For example, if you see a Squarespace ad on a social media platform and choose to use Squarespace, they may use a tag to reduce the number of Squarespace ads you see on that platform. They use Google Tag Manager to manage their third party tag usage. This may cause other tags to be activated which may, for their part, collect data and set cookies under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not store this data.
